All of the backgrounds, bars and buttons are free of charge and you
do not need permission to use them on the web or in any other type
of project. If your organization needs written permission from this
site, please send an email requesting it.

No.
You do NOT have permission to link to any graphic on this site! You
MUST save the image to your computer and refer to it from there. If
you are using the background on a message board, please follow that
site's instructions on how to upload your images to their site for
use on your page. Thank you!

do I download an image or background? |
Simply
right click on the background tile or image you want and choose save picture as or save image as depending on your browser.
When viewing a background on a full page, right click anywhere on the page and select save background as.
Then
choose the directory you want to save the file to. Click save.
Be sure to remember where you saved the image so that you can find
it easily. You can also change the name of the image file at this
time to something that is more meaningful for your purposes.

| How do I right click using a Mac laptop? |
When you have your cursor over the image or background you want to save, hold down the Control button and click at the same time. This will present you with the menu from which you can choose to save the image, among other things.

do I get the background to show up in my web page? |
To get the background
to "tile" or repeat on your page, you must refer to the
image file In the "body" tag. If the image is in the same
directory as your web page, the HTML code is this:
<body background="image.gif">
If you saved your image in another file folder, you refer to it
like this:
<body background="otherfolder/image.gif">

saved the background file but I can't get it to open. |
This
sometimes happens with .jpg files. It may be the way your Windows
system is set up to handle the .jpg extension. Even though it seems
that it will save the file as a. jpg it actually saves it as a .jpeg.
Try to download the file again but type over the extension or type
in the extension .jpg and click save. It should open fine.
